"It's a funny thing, coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, feels the same, even smells the same. You realize what has changed is you." - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Gustave H: Why do you want to be a lobby boy?
Zero Moustafa: Who wouldn't…at the Grand Budapest, sir?

I love this song. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that starting at about :59, I briefly thought it was a remix of Britney Spear's Toxic. That, it is not.

"What you mean you don't really know, I'm losing touch with the physical, I'm showing up in the future like I've been here before."

These are not the lyrics of Britney. They are beautiful and the beat is even better.

My friend Brandon is one of THE most creative people I know. If you don't believe me, just give his Instagram account a quick glance.

Since moving to Boston (and doing nothing short of taking over), he has added a photo booth to his crazy, already adorable apartment in Cambridge. I've been watching on social media for months as friends visit him and get their shot at the famous "WavyWay" wall and was so excited to FINALLY get my time to shine.

I'm going to be honest, being told to stand in front of a wall and do something spontaneous is not easy, but I managed (after more than a few awkward shots) to get a decent one. You can check out all the other cool pictures on Instagram by searching the hashtag #wavyway.

Thanks for letting me play, B!

music: pharrell williams

Thursday, February 6, 2014

I'm in the population of people that feel music deep in their core. I can listen to a song and immediately feel heart broken or excited or full of love. When I listen to Pharrell sing Happy, I feel exactly that…happy. Pair it with watching the music video and I'm done for, y'all.

Every time I watch the people in the video dancing around, it makes me tear up. They're being authenitic and are totally happy. We could all use a little more of that in our lives.
